Most of us are familiar with the vibrant little markets in the south of Italy and France.
This atmosphere is exactly what you’ll fin on a sunny Sunday morning at the StokkemSmugglers’ Market. After many editions, the Smugglers’ Market in Dilsen-Stokkem has become a firm fixture in the Maasland area and far beyond, with everything you could
possibly find at a 'normal' market plus a great selection of typical regional dishes from the
Euregion. In other words: the perfect recipe for that genuine holiday feeling. Visitors stroll
past the market stalls, looking for a spot at one of the pavement cafes. Food and drink can be found at every street corner. Street theatre and children’s entertainment add a festive touch to the market. The smugglers’ market is the place for local residents to meet and for local tourists to discover the region’s DNA.
Market zone: Stokkem town centre
Dates: every Sunday throughout July and August
