The Hoge Kempen National Park is made up of more than 12,742 hectares of managed and protected forest and heathland. The unspoilt nature reserve stretches across the municipalities of Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, Zutendaal, Lanaken, Genk, and As, Bilzen, Bree, Maaseik en Oudsbergen.
