A very special way to spend the night in Dilsen- Stokkem is on a camping raft on the Oude Maas, in the middle of Negenoord-Kerkeweerd nature reserve. Get away from all the hustle and bustle and enjoy an oasis of peace. You can watch the sun come up from your sleeping bag and the many waterfowl without disturbing them and, if you’re lucky, the beaver might swim past your raft. Your accommodation for the night is a wooden hut on top of a sturdy, 25 m2 construction. Your own Canadian canoe will take you to the other side in no time.
The accommodation is suitable for a single person, a couple, or the entire family (max. 4 people or 2 adults + 2 children or 4 adults). Pets are not allowed! Please note there is a general ban on swimming in the Oude Maas! The camping rafts are available from 1 April until 31 October.
Check-in is possible from 2 pm, check-out must be done before 10 am.
These items are either already present on the raft or will be provided by us: a Canadian canoe, camping chairs, a table, a gas burner with gas bottles, an electric lamp, a jerry can of clean water, a jerry can for used water, a rubbish bag, toilet bucket, toilet paper, cleaning equipment and tourist information.
You must provide the following items yourself: a camping mattress, a sleeping bag, a pillow, toiletries, pans, plates, cups & cutlery, possibly a fishing rod and your personal belongings.
