Entrance gate Terhills

Terhills is the main entrance gate to the Hoge Kempen National Park.

Cycling and Hiking Between the Mining Hills of Terhills

Active, sporty, recreational... the range of activities in Terhills, located in Dilsen-Stokkem and Maasmechelen, is as diverse as it is extensive. Shaped by its history as an industrial mining and gravel extraction site, the area today is characterized by lush fauna and flora, vast bodies of water, and unique views from the mining hills. During walks on and around the former mining hills, you can enjoy beautiful vistas. The walking area is part of the Terhills recreation area.

Adjustments to the Walking Routes in Terhills

The new bike and walking bridge between the mining hills has opened, and we are making sure that this beautiful route is included in our walking offer. This means that during this period, there will be no (or incomplete) marked walking routes available. The signage for the National Park Trail is also being adjusted in Terhills.

The new walking map for Terhills will be available from the end of October at our distribution points and in the Walking in Limburg webshop.
