If you want to fish in the public waters in Flanders, you need a fishing permit. These permits are available to buy from a post office or online at www.natuurenbos.be/visverlof
In addition to the permit from the Flemish government, you will also need a municipal fishin
pass. You can apply for this pass online or pick it up for free at the tourist information desk at Visitor Centre De Wissen. A copy of your fishing licence from the Flemish Government is sufficient to obtain the free pass.
